Commodore Fuel Map

  • The fuel switch is designed to allow you to run two different fuel maps with the standard computer

  • Turning the switch on places the car in cold mode and increases the fuel supply to the engine.

  • This can be too much when the vehicles is in certain situations:
    1. Driving around the pits when hot
    2. About to start a race
  • If you drive around with excessive fuel there is a good chance you will foul the plugs and miss the next race.

  • The amount of fuel required will depend on number of items:
  • Compression Ratio
  • Camshaft design and position
  • Ignition timing
  • The fuel increase is now fully adjustable at the fuse  holder near the ECU
    1. Max Fuel Increase Brown
    2. One step down Yellow
    3. Another step down White
    4. Min fuel Increase Red

  • It is only trial and error that you will work out the best for your set up
  • Never increase the fuel pressure in any way this is not legal in Street Stocks and is extremely unsafe.
  • Always check your computer codes as the fuel switch may be masking another problem as per instructions on Web site
